LITTLE
VOLLEY
Little Volley is a developmental volleyball class for K – 5th grade boys and girls. We've designed this class specifically to introduce young players to the sport in a low-stress, fun environment.
Our experienced coaches focus on developing basic skills -- setting, passing, hitting and team play -- and ensure players learn to play using the best techniques (and avoid developing bad habits).

Little Volley is a unique program, based on the European volleyball experience, that makes volleyball accessible to young kids, thanks to:
-
small courts (39’ * 16’)
-
low net (from 4’ to 6’ 6”)
-
2vs2 or 3vs3 instead of 6vs6
-
light ball
-
special rules to facilitate the game at younger ages (ball can bounce on the floor once, players can catch the ball
These special conditions offer the chance to every kid to learn volleyball in a simple, fun, positive, cooperative but competitive way

WHY VOLLEYBALL
Volleyball is one of the most successful sports in the United States and worldwide, with more than 46 million players in the USA there are multiple reasons why this sport is so popular and good for kids:
SAFE: no physical contact with the opponent
TEAMWORK: only sport in which passing the ball is a rule
and where you depend on your teammates to score
INTERPERSONAL SKILLS AND COOPERATION: team sport
with the highest ratio between # players, and court sqft makes communication necessary
PLAY EVERYWHERE: volleyball can be played indoor, or outdoor on grass, sand and even snow
COORDINATION, speed, agility and STRENGTH BOOSTER: great sport to improve hand-eye coordination and strength (eye-hand coordination, trajectory evaluation, jumps, linear and non-linear fast movements as well as diving and rolling
techniques)
COGNITIVE STIMULATION IMPROVEMENT: there is a
direct link between volleyball training and psychological performance. It targets various aspects of the brain associated with learning, memory, and concentration
